Illustrated Tweets
A self initiated project whereby I pick my favourite tweet from the week, and create an illustration inspired by it. Follow the project here: http://atweetaweek.tumblr.com/

This is an illustration to accompany one of @alaindebotton ’s tweets (all of which are wonderful).

@alaindebotton:
“Most of our childhood is stored not in photos, but in certain biscuits, lights of day, smells, textures of carpet…”

Julia Child would have turned 100 years old this week, and the world of Twitter was awash with feisty quotations and admirable tweets for the world renowned cook. For me, my heroines in life always seem to lean slightly on the eccentric side - and Julia is no exception to this rule. She was a courageous, hard-working and out-spoken woman, who shaped her life following her greatest passion in life, and making it her legacy.

This week’s illustrated tweet could only be Olympic related really, couldn’t it? I illustrated @shitlondon ‘s tweet. “Unfortunate photo of an Olympian of the day” featuring a rather amusing twit pic of an athlete in action.
