I wanted to make a catalogue for my portable fold-up chair that promotes the chair without showcasing it as the main feature. I hit the streets of Cape Town and Woodstock with the portable chair in one hand and a camera in the other. I met some interesting characters as they took a seat on the portable in the street to have a chat with me. Some even used the chair in their own creative way.
The people in the photographs as well as their lives formed the main focus of the catalogue. The catalogue successfully conveyed the message that public seating along with the portable chair connects you with people and allows interaction to take place in the most unlikely of places and streets.
