International Society of Typographic Designers Brief - 2013

Brief: You must create the name, logo and applied   identity for the  Museum of the Circus. This must be done using typography as the main vehicle of expression.

Solution: Roll Up, Roll Up! is a Grand travelling Circus Museum. Influencd by American sign writing and old Diner/Motel signs, I decided to create 3D signage for the museum using various papers and fabrics. The building is a piece of temporary architecture that folds in and out in order to move it.

This red and yellow combination then runs through the exhibition guide along with the large V letterforms to represent typographic bunting. The colourful images that I created reprsent the fun atmosphere as my target audience is families. Activites are designed for children and adults to show that there is soemthing to suit everyone.

My designs include, a logo, the building, a ticket booth, exhibiton guide, promotional posters and popcorn packaging to show how the idea would run across all aspects of the museum.
