CONCEPT During designing the logo for the image of the Hungarian National Judicial Offices the main aspect to consider was to construct a consciously designed solid system that simultaneously radiates power and harmony. I turned to the scales, dominant symbol of justice, as a starting point. Furthermore, I regarded it essential that the logo should suggest that it represents Hungary, which I tried, with subtle elegance, to add to the overall image. The logo can be designed and constructed on a chequered pattern, thereby reminding us of the traditional Hungarian technique of folk embroidery. Five mutations of the principal logo was designed for the various organisations, all of which differ from one another concerning their colour and form, while the image is necessarily the same and easy to recognise. The formal differentiation of the various organisations’ emblems makes it available for different uses, enables one to turn to monochrome colouring. As a consequence of which they can be used separately, for instance, as a seal. Read Less
