  • Hubris was considereda major crime in the ancient Greek world. The term was originally used todescribe the actions of those who challenged the gods, andgenerally referred to irreverent outrageous behavior.

    The optical and mechanical rules that enable photography are also the constraints that define its limits. Hubris is a single panoramic image captured on a two-meter film reel. It is not technically possible to produce such an image using currently available photographic equipment.
