This is a poster I did for a show in Atlanta where Hot Water Music, La Dispute, and the Menzingers were playing. I had wanted to do something with a ship wreck theme for a while so I thought this would be a good opportunity to pull it out and see what would happen. 

This is the first sketch before it was even a poster, just an idea I thought would be fun to work out. After studying tons of reference on make-shift boat building, I started tightening everything up. 

These are the final pencils before transferring it to watercolor paper. Though most of the line work is tight and figured out, I still left a couple of things like the palm trees, his hair, and parts of the boat to tighten up on the final piece so it wouldn't look stiff and that I had just retraced it all.
