Ben Hallahan: Honours Project 2010
In Formation is the name given to my Honours Project in Computer Graphic Design, completed in Nov 2010.

The project itself is a 100+ page book that chronicles the 2010 World Cup in statistical form.  This is done through a series of cards (64 match cards) that each present a wealth of data surrounding each match, the players, and key moments in the match.

As well as the information within each card, there is a hypertext-inspired layout in which the ring bound cards can be sequenced in whatever manner the audience wants.  Coloured bars link a team's appearances, while numbered markers show progression through the group and knockout stages, which can be used to form a huge wallchart in which multiple teams can be followed.

The entire project was built from research into Infovis, print and hypertext and is accompanied by a 22,000 word dissertation and extensive process book.

I aim to add high quality pictures in the coming weeks.

Enjoy and feel free to contact me via e-mail or Twitter.
