2014: After a damning report into the world food shortage crisis, recreational sugar consumption is banned. Confectionery becomes a precious commodity, only available to the rich, powerful and corrupt.
An outlaw club of women known as the Honey Babys establish an underground system of confectionery distribution. They are beloved by the public and underestimated by the authorities.
Honey Babys: A Retrospective is an historical exhibition of their ten year reign.
My project plays with feminine stereotypes by constructing a speculative context in which these associations are advantageous. This hypothetical world is communicated through the collateral of an historical exhibition.
