Stills and video promotional materials for the release of retro-horror game HOME on Apple iOS devices.
I was hired to create stills and video content for promoting the release of Benjamin Rivers's HOME on iOS devices. HOME was originally released on PC through Steam in 2012, so it was essential that the imagery for this promotional campaign centred around the portability of the iPhone/iPad/iPod.
For the stills, Benjamin wanted to encourage players to enjoy the game's narrative in locations that would further enhance the sense of unease that the game instills in players, so we took a series of shots from a player's POV in various locations in and around Toronto. We also did a series of creator portraits that media outlets could use alongside the location shots and in-game screen grabs for longer features.
For the promo video, we shot in many of the same locations but with a different POV in mind. Voyeurism was a key thought in the production.
Stills and motion production done end to end by Ryan Couldrey, with music for the trailer by Ivor Stines. Gear list included in project notes.
