Architecture in the 20th Century
An assignment in which the goal was to create a DVD cover for what could become a long-form series, meaning considerations had to be made for flexible template-like design. Logically, if someone else were to pick up the design and wanted to do say, 16th century Architecture, they would only need to swap out images, the subtitle, and possibly colors.
My reasoning behind the wooden table element was to provide a much more approachable, welcoming feeling to the overall aesthetic. I did not want it to look similar to cold, educational DVDs that have a "library catalog" look. Instead I opted for a look that seemed to be like a friend inviting you to see his own pictures.
