Harmony was a typeface design thattook inspiration from the Alhambra palace in Granada; the project was to createa word mark that was inspired by the palace. The history of the buildings architecture is what fueled the concept. Originally the building was said to be Arabic and so over the years a range of different rulers captured the palace, Christian rulers among others. As each lord took the palace, they added new structures to the build and eventually the Alhambra became a mixture of Catholic and Arabic architecture. It was this mixed concept of time, change andculture that created the word mark.

Once theword mark was created, it was used as a guide to help design the typeface Harmony, which is a mixture of catholic type and real Arabic calligraphy.
