Every year, The Hispanic Society of America selects an object in its permanent collection as a source of inspiration for the annual gala. In 2009, a ceramic plate with an image of a flapper in a flamboyant peacock headdress painted on its surface was chosen. I created a set of custom illustrations based on the object, infusing the mail campaign materials and the program with full-on Art Nouveau spirit. Muted colors, bespoke typography and soft, cream colored paper complete the vintage feel. Read Less

Every year, The Hispanic Society of America selects an object in its permanent collection as a source of inspiration for the annual gala. In 2009, a ceramic plate with an image of a flapper in a flamboyant peacock headdress painted on its surface was chosen. I created a set of custom illustrations based on the object, infusing the mail campaign materials and the program with full-on Art Nouveau spirit.
