The assignment for this project was to research advocacy groups for a specific type of advocacy, mine being human rights, or more specifically, marriage equality. We had to create a pair of posters where one would be type with image and the other just type (which should have the same feeling as the type and image poster).

The overall goal of this poster was to convey the vast majority of rights that come with marriage and how some aren't even allowed to get married, so their rights in that area are zero. Also, the audience for this poster is a more older/mature audience (thus no textures or hand drawn images, but more already defined symbols). The color choices are the simple red, white, and blue due to the presidential election coming up. Overall it is supposed to reflect the visual identity of the Human Rights Campaign but interpreted in my own way as to help convey the inequality of marriage today in a more visual way.
The left is the Type poster and the right is the Type and Image poster.
