XL Recordings set a brief for our university project to create a response to promote Gil Scott Heron & Jamie xx most recent album ‘We’re New Here’ in an online environment. Different from a music video and a replacement for still images for instant on youtube whilst listening to the track online. I found this brief quite a challenge and decided to use photographs of found typography signs from shops, roads etc. I used after effects to control the timing and the compositions etc. I used a loose story line for viewers to follow and to relate to the song. The typography signs supports the lyrics and hopefully entertains viewers as they listen to a nice track. I chose the track 'Running' to convey my concept ideas.
