The Gentleman Typeface is a result of student research I did during my studying at Alexander Tarbeev's type design workshop. The idea was to create a special script type system where Cyrillic and Latin letters could work together. It became my degree project. One of the tasks was to promote a product of the research. With other students we have decided to make a special magazine for type designers with individual issues. This one is named "Feature salt" (Stylistic Alternates — typographic feature, which replaces character with stylistic alternative). It dedicated to the Golden Age of American calligraphy and contains some material about creating type system with big variety of forms. Some images I've used for the issue are courtesy of their respective owners and used here only for presentational purpose. Principal Type: Flauto by Yulia Tigina, Gentleman by Yulia Tamonis Read Less
