The enviorment a person’s childhood takes place, is the first place that person witnesses to symbiotic life. Also, it will be extremely optimistic to suppose that person would be compatible to a symbiotic life if he/she didn’t have a complete and healthy psychological development in his/her childhood.
I think that, in a symbiotic life many conflicts take place because of personal problems of individuals wich are living in unity in the same society. In my installation named “Go to your room”, I am calling spectators to go back to their past and review the place their childhood took place.
In this installation (that have seven sculptures The Door, The Chair, The Desk, The Bookshelf, The Commode, The Bed and The Wardrobe), I review my psychological development through my childhood memories and present its mental reflections to spectators. The installation subjects to the early childhood adversities and problems which causes a well known problem in present adults called depressive disorder. My artwork visualizes the inner problems that are perceived mentally by the child with deviated furnitures.
Two pieces of my project 'Go To Your Room' ( the desk and the chair) were displayed within the context of 15th Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, in Thessaloniki - 2011.
