I come from a region of Poland called Kashubia. It is s an area that is located by the Baltic sea. With its extraordinary nature it is one of the most beautiful parts of Poland. It is also rich in culture and one of the most significant and recognizable feature of Kashubian culture are traditional knitting patterns. There are few Kashubian knitting schools but I have focused on just one of them (at least for one). However, Kashubian design was never popular among Poles giving way to designs from other regions of Poland. I wanted to incorporate the knitting patterns into more commercial, and more available products. That is why I have chosen t-shirts and hoodies to take At the same time I love tattoos so I thought of combining those two things when designing the tees. Read Less

I come from a region of Poland called Kashubia. It is s an area that is located by the Baltic sea. With its extraordinary nature it is one of the most beautiful parts of Poland. It is also rich in culture, and one of the most significant and recognizable feature of Kashubian culture are traditional emroidery patterns. There are few Kashubian knitting schools but I have focused on just one of them (at least for now).

However, Kashubian design was never popular among Poles giving way to designs from othe regions of Poland. What's more, folk design in Poland has always been considered kitch. I would like to change that and I have decided to incorporate the emroidery patterns into more commercial, and more accesible products. That is why I have chosen v-necks, t-shirts, and hoodies.

At the same time I love tatoos, especially chest ones,  so I thought of combining those two things when designing the tees.
