As a student at Flagler College, I often get to try out new things that I would otherwise be too intimidated to try. I'd always wanted to try screen printing, but it was a mysterious science that seemed far beyond my skills. This was my first attempt, and I've got to say, I am addicted. The challenge of turning whatever image I wish into a stencil and applying it to whatever flat surface I can find is wonderful, and I'm eager to try it again. My design was an idea I'd had a semester or so ago. They always say sticks and stones will break your bones, and that always seemed so obvious to me. So I took a slightly less obvious route with it and it's stuck with me ever since. Read Less

I had several ideas originally.
All blocked out.
I ended up mixing my dark blue ink with a little bit of white and applying pressure at random intervals during the process. I ended up with this pretty gradiated navy blue.
