First Data is one of the world’s largest privately held companies and is the 800-pound gorilla in the payments processing industry. First Data reached out to us asking for help solving 2 challenges: How to position First Data as a valuable payments processing partner that can command a premium price and not be seen as a commodity supplier and how to turn First Data into a brand that is ascribed a valuation on the open market consistent with its position as the global leader in payments processing. We were also asked to refresh the First Data look and feel within the existing brand guidelines and bring the new strategic positioning of ‘Beyond The Transaction’ to life in a way that enhances the First Data brand personality and core values.
