Festningen is the new brainchild of Oslo restaurateur Bjørn Tore Furset. Situated in historic quarters at Akershus Fortress, the building has a rich history, serving as both army administrational offices and prison. Rustic nose to tail dishes are now being served in the 18th century building, overlooking the Oslo fjord. The cross shaped logo hints at both past and present: The grid of the prison windows and the classic dining symbol of the knife and fork.
