Emotional Addressing

This project serves as motivation to discover and experience different aspects of emotional addressing. The aim is to create a momentum of communication, allowing one to experience the specific emotion with regards to an object. In this case, a fan remote was subjected to explorations of forms with the emotivity of ‘affinity’ in mind.

Ploughing through images of our world, sensitivity to forms and meanings of lines and shapes help develop the desired emotion that we wanted to convey for the object. Combining elements that makes up ‘affinity’, a series of quick foam models were made to achieve a final solution. The result is a reclined void that accentuates a harmony with one's hand.
