End of year Project for AUT: How we idealize the dying last words of people

Final University project. Self chosen Project
What we leave behind can be so much more than a past. It can mean more to others than everything else we have ever done. The words we leave with our dying breaths can inspire novels and art, be used in suicide notes or quoted in political debates and statements. At times an individual can know more about the dying words of someone than the person themselves.“Famous Last Words” explores the way we see dying words, using layering of meanings, images, typography and phosphorescence to create a series of 5 posters. What do these words become when you take away the authors name? What ideas and emotions do they portray, and without the notable person attached what do they matter?
