Han pasdao diez años desde que el festival Mutek de Montreal se empezará a replicar en México, siendo éste el primer festiva en el país especializado en música electrónica y su cruce con nuevas tecnologías; donde han pizado artistas internacionales y nacionales que de otra manera sería imposible ver o escuchar.
La curaduría artística mejora año con año y cada vez es más fácil para el público prescenciar shows de vanguardia audio-visual de nivel mundial, siendo México como sede, Mutek se vuelve en una especia de institución educativa a las nuevas formas de creación y la experimentación en la música y new media en todos sus formatos.
Freedom es un documental que ha ido capturando la escencia del festival a lo largo de su historia y su futura historia, la "libertad de creación", si algo que hay que rescatar dentro de la historia Mutek, son sus artistas, su conocimiento y experiencia. Más de 60 artistas narrando la forma en la que desarrollan su arte, su manera de expresarlo, los medios, la escena y como el arte se convierte de un momento a otro en su modus vivendus.
Freedom explora de una manera vivencial las experiencias de la persona como artista y del artista como persona, su inspiración y libertad para la creación, sus herraminetas y la forma en la que ven a México como plataforma a proyectos de arte alternativos.
Freedom se vuelve en un documento indispensable para cualquier persona interesada en apredender de un movimiento artístico y tecnológico que se convertirá en un futuro lenguaje para las masas.

Its been 10 years since the Montreal Festival Mutek began in México city, being the first festival in the country spezialized in electronic music and the bridge with new technologies; where have stepped international and national artists that otherwise would be impossible to see or hear.
The artistic curation gets better year by year, and everytime is more easy to the public watch vangard audio-visual shows of worlwide, been Mexico has a host, mutek becomes a kind of educational institution of new ways of creation and experimentation in music and new media in every format.
Freedom is a documentary that has been capturating the scence of the festival throgh hes history and future history. Freedom of creation, if something has to rescue about the mutek history, are therir artists, their knowledge and experience. More than 60 artists talking abuot the way that they develop their art, the way to express it, the mediums, the scene and how art becomes sudenly in their modus vivendus.
Freedom explores in a vivemcial way the experiences of the person as an artist and the artist as a person, the inspiration, and the freemo to create, their tools, and the way they see Mexico has a platform to develop experimental art projects.
