I met FLC at a time when they were about to move to new headquarters in Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki, as well as open a new office in Berlin. The initial request was a logo re-design, but after some time we decided to make bigger plans.
We wanted the team to feel proud of their new headquarters, and with the promise of a more challenging, creative future, it was important to design the working space with the FLC team. By getting to know the people and their methods of working, we could plan the layout of the headquarters according to the team's personal needs.
The role of the website had become a supporting act during the project planning stage. We wished to bring the new FLC talent into the spotlight and offer the clients a chance to get to know everyone's portfolios and process.
It was crucial not to alienate the existing client base from what had already become FLC trademarks; bold, straightforward and dark humor, so we kept the style of the old FLC and introduced a flexible system of typography that could live with the FLC imagery and adjust to the different needs.
The project is still ongoing.
