A university project with the goal to create a dynamic, compelling, and sell-able toy for the tween Market. Toy trends show that those in this age range (8-12) are increasingly trying to mimic their parents. So many gadgets and electronic toys which resemble their parent’s devices are drawing children away from creative activities and meaningful play. A game for both young and old can be a catalyst for family-time and togetherness. The Flapjack nods to the traditional backyard games of old but has an updated more youthful twist.
