Official 2010 Raindance Film Festival selection. The infamous Nike Midnight Madness basketball tournament, Britain's Biggest and Best Summer Basketball Competition. Where the best talent come to fight it out for their chance to go to the USA to pursue their basketball dreams. The program was originally created in 1999 to help combat gun crime in London, using a series of basketball 'open runs' through the night as a positive diversionary activity for 14-25 year olds. The documentary follows founder and organizer Nhamo Shire, alongside a host of the best street and basketball talent the UK has to offer, as they travel from North to South of the UK, in search of the best balling talent. Experience the lead up to the iconic Midnight Madness finals in London and finally their journey to LA to compete for their pride, reputation and ultimately their future.
