The Exhibition Road development is a £28m project to improve the infrastructure of, access to and facilities within the Exhibition Road area. Led by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in partnership with the City of Westminster and the Mayor of London, it was completed in February 2012.
The project, designed by Dixon Jones Architects, aims to turn Exhibition Road into one of the finest streetscapes in London, and the best possible environment for all users and residents of the area, including the 20m tourist visits it attracts each year. A major element of the project was the re-lighting of the streetscape using 28no. 20M high lighting masts with warm white light sources mounted at 12M.
