"Denim" is a material investigation into the use of denim in craft, art and design. Curated by Dell Stewart, Denim was a group exhibition that was part of the Craft Cubed Festival presented by Craft Victoria. In our piece Echo, threads harvested from the denim combine with the fabric itself. The aspect of denim that we were intrigued by is its specific tactility, the way it embodies the history of its use. We wanted our marks although recent to be absorbed into the fabric through the use of denim on/within denim.
