Following the reflection I started on "The Navy Yard Project", "The East River Project" propose a multiplicative strategy. It analyses and describes various sites, in order to be able to project a more "balanced" waterfront through the creation of activities, infrastructures and open spaces : - Limiting urban growth - Creating a PLATFORM FOR EXCHANGE (subway, ferry, pedestrian, bicycle ...) - Creating spaces for recreation, sport, accessible to all - Re-connection to the great "river area" = BALANCE EARTH + WATER It also develops a very precise Communication Strategy, to inform and involve people (City Council, Inhabitants, Project Team...) about great city changes.
