The voice of rebellion, relevancy, and inspiration was conveyed through the use of HTML5 video, sound design and custom tailored quotes to ultimately create a sensory experience that gives insight into the feeling of an underdog, who had been filled with confidence and courage to get up “Get Going” and finally something for themselves. A positive reflection on ones self to spark rebellion and liberation - all done without feeling aggressive, obvious and or dated. Read Less

Drexel University & Agency Misfit looked to BKWLD for a solution to inspire and recruit new students. BKWLD approached Drexel with a unique approach to content that was highly sharable amongest popular social networks and internet culture; “inspirational quotes”. Inspired by cinemagraphs, BKWLD pushed the standard static inspirational quote to the next level.

A positive reflection on ones self to spark rebellion and liberation - all done without feeling aggressive, obvious and or dated.
Design Direction
 
Evolution is an important part of any design process, and creating a visual experience that was rebellious and user friendly was a perfect place to begin. BKWLD approached the design with a single focus in mind, make the design as minimal as possible so the strength of the content and messaging would allow the user to immerse herself in the experience as deeply and easily as possible.
Content Creation
 
BKWLD concepted and shot 16 uniquely different video concepts along with creating custom tailored quotes for each. The videos were inspired by the feel of cinema-graphs and animated gifs and shot all over Northern California.
