This is a work in progress - I'm teaching myself Zbrush and Modo and this is my second piece...always looking for feedback - thanks for looking!

I had done this sketch a while back - and thought it would be a fun piece to continue my Zbrush and Modo training with...
I started out by building a base mesh out of Zspheres, just to get the basic volume and proportions laid out...
The sculpt after a day or so...
After the finer details were added...
I then poly-painted the mesh...

After decimating the sculpt in Zbrush to bring the poly count to a manageable level, I imported it into Modo and re-built a cleaner mesh over top of it...
...I then brought the clean mesh back into Zbrush, re-projected the sculpted detail onto this cleaner mesh, created UVs with UV Master and then brought the mesh, color and displacement maps back into Modo for rendering...after playing around with Modo's unique render engine...the above image was the result.
I then started to play around with Modo's new character rigging tools and volumetrics - the image below is where I ended up so far...
This was fun - I learned a lot and will take that information to the next project. Thanks for looking.
