Dorica is a serif font family optimized for small size. This typeface is very sober and simple, it has a classical look at first sight but the curves, the details like those serifs make it very different. The name is inspired by Doric, one of the three orders of organizational systems of ancient Greek, it’s the simplest of them. The large x-height make it perfect to use for magazine or every support with small text.
Dorica consists in a 14 styles family, from Thin to Black with their italics. Each font includes Small Caps, very useful for book, OpenType Features such as Proportional Figures, Stylistic alternates, Tabular Figures, Numerators, Superscript, Denominators, Scientific Inferiors, Subscript, Ordinals, Fractions and many ligatures. The ligatures are a good feature to make an original and creative layout. The fonts have an extended characters set to support Central, Eastern and Western European languages. The range of styles provides flexibility for text and title.
