I like beer, but I love Dogfish Head beer. That's why I decided to give them a new look. Craft breweries have been booming in popularity over the last decade, and a lot of those beer drinkers fall into two categories: the old pros who brew their own, and the young whippersnappers who want to learn more about what makes great beer better than so-so brews. This redesign brings those two groups together with a bold and unexpected visual style, a narrative that honors Dogfish Head's tradition of historically-inspired experimentation, and a flagrant visual pun at the center of it all. With help from Seattle-based illustrator Matty Cipov, this redesign could just help Dogfish Head beers fly off the shelves even faster than they already do— So make like the time traveling beer geniuses at Dogfish Head, and get some yesterday. That's why I decided to give the Deleware-based brewery a new look. Craft breweries have been booming in popularity over the last decade, and a lot of those beer drinkers fall into two categories: the old pros who brew their own, and the young whippersnappers who want to learn more about what makes great beer better than so-so brews.
 
This redesign brings those two groups together with a bold and unexpected visual style, a narrative that honors Dogfish Head's tradition of historically-inspired experimentation, and a flagrant visual pun at the center of it all.
