From my natural illustrator's blog, www.iheartungulates.com, this post explored the subject of owl pellets (which are NOT POOP!). Inspired by a trip to local cemetery, where I collected a handful of pellets, I dissected my findings, then wrote and illustrated a post with: a painting of an owl about to eat lunch; a diagram of an owl's digestive system; a carefully styled photo of the bones found in my owl pellets; and a downloadable rodent bone ID chart that I made.
