Deutsche Post “Post Code Boundaries”

The ad stunt that made the new German post code borders visible.
The brief was to promote the publication of the new German post code register and of course to increase sales. The client wanted to turn a dry register of figures into the talk of the town.

Germany is divided into approx. 10,000 different post code areas. The borders do not run from city to city, but rather straight through cities. We used this distinctive feature of the system to gain publicity for the new post code register. With high visibility ground stickers along the otherwise invisible post code borders. Running along streets, across parks, over bridges ...

In addition to gaining a high degree of recognition, the 'post code boundaries' played a key part in the sales success of the new post code register. With total sales of around 840,000 books, the sales target has already been surpassed today.
