RESEARCH
Through research I found the positive and negative effects of deforestation and tried to way them up. I found that people tend to think deforestation is a bad thing all together but heathland holds a lot of habitat, and if this is getting taken over by buildings, more needs to be created. Heathland is rapidly decreasing and only some areas can be restored back to heathland. However woodland areas are also decreasing.

DESIGN
Tall thin posters (to represent the shape of trees and shrubs) were designerd to be hung in areas near woodland and heathland to get passers by to take notice of them and potentialy lead them to a website. The website would then give the audience all the information about both woodland and heathland and give them the choice of what we need to do and which we should be creating more of. There is an idea that planting trees is essentialy a good thing, but only if it is in the right place. People need to be more aware of what is going on around them. The website is designed so you can acces two sides, One in favour of woodland and the other in favour of heathland.
