Right in the heart of Malaga, and next to the birthplace of P.R. Picasso, we propose a mixed use building. The first two stories are a daycare center for the elderly, open to the big square, whereas the rest of the building opens itself to the beautiful landscape on the other side, the Alcazaba Hill.
There is certainly a tension, between the urban grid, the square dating from the 19th century is a crossing of main paths, of main traffic lines that divide several neighborhoods.
The roof of the daycare center is used by the residents as a solarium, far from the traffic of the street below, and closer to the landscape, with excellent sight and orientation.
