Wayfinding system design concept for Daugavpils, second-largest city of Latvia. Wayfinding systems increase the quantity of tourists, stimulate the development of the sphere of tourism, boost the local business and reduce the abounded building quantity. Another benefits are the popularization of walking and an argumentation of its superiority over driving a car, as well as improving the urban environment, sense of community and situation with crime and safety. Currently there are not such unified wayfinding systems in Baltics. Design of the following wayfinding system is based on the detailed research, which was described in case study, which was made by our agency, and on the UK and USA experience in this sphere.
