Starting with the site, we have designed the building and located the building such that much of the site remains open reducing heat island effect and provide a biodiverse planting strategy. Planting a roof garden reduces heat island effect of a conventional roofing system along with helping mediate storm water run-off by providing an absorbent material to help regulate the amount of water being shed by the building. During construction we would prevent soil erosion. With the large parking demand on the site we would propose alternate source of transportation. The use of employee bus routes could alleviate the total number of cars on the site, along with reducing the number cars on the road producing CO2 emissions, during the peak hours of the day.
