In 2008, R/GA approached us because of our reputation with the Handselecta project. They were working on a new website for the launch of Lebron James' Sixth shoe. The client wanted a typeface based upon a handstyle that was already in use with the Nike product. The shoe lining was a repeat pattern created from a Lebron handstyle of the most influential items in his life story.
The pattern was meticulously deconstructed and then rebuilt into a font, used exclusively on the website for fans to create their own unique patterns of influential and inspirational words.
