Inspired by Restoration Hardware's line of English Armorial Engravings, a client asked me to personalize a family crest for her in a similar style.
Starting wih her grandmother's surname, which had a coat of arms, she chose horses, a swan and her own titles of nobility. From there, I combed my extensive library of archival engravings, combined all of the separate elements and created a completely custom family crest for her.
The resulting 34" x 54" print was one we were both really pleased with, which authentically looks as if it's been around since the 1700's!
