Heading towards the end of 2010, second year at the time, we were asked to design a conceptual campaign in order to promote the end of year design exhibition that takes place every year. This exhibition displays the work of all graduating student from the campus’s of CPUT. I teamed up with Arno Visser, a mean ass designer and amazing illustrator. During the year of 2010, the music genre of electro became unbelievably popular. This music craze set trends within all the subcultures of Cape Town. Lumo colours and clothes everywhere. SO, we decided to use the electro paint influence into creating the “Creatives, Get Involved Campaign”. The purpose of the campaign was for people (the public and other creatives) to physically come get involved with the art exhibition and to be creative as they want. Blank walls were set up for collaborated murals. Our aim was to have the public come and experience our creativity first hand and have a taste of what it feels like to truely get messy. They lumo stickers formed the base of public attraction, due to its popularity amongst the youth. Read Less
