My family and I took a trip to The One yesterday for a little New Years trip. The clips were all taken there, but the song was inspired in my high school years by a big shopping mall called Wind City that shut down not too long after it opened due to management problems.

The year 2007 witnesses the remaining debris left in the middle of the busy city

I remember just five years ago, this place was a proud site
With people coming and going nonstop, it was like another city that didn't sleep

That was not too long ago
You try to recollect the confidence that can no longer be held
Time compresses everything until it all disappears
Beauty vanishes with a blink of an eye

City of Wind, proudly gazing down onto the world as you soared with the breeze
You shined your light, showing off your dazzling colours
However, it all eventually popped like a glorious bubble
Winter comes, and what's left is a lifeless wasteland
Your heart is a helpless candle, fated to burn out

That was not too long ago
You try to retrieve what you had accidentally left behind
Time is continually stolen, until there is none left
When will you finally come to realize that what you have is nothing?

City of Wind, relying solely on stubborn faith as you struggle to keep your ground
Although exhausted, you would never show your weakness
Lamenting the lifeless wasteland lying before you
You would not let that candle in your heart burn out

Every person in this world is like a city
What are we protecting within these firm walls?
