Le Chemigramme (a process named by the french artist Pierre Cordier) are chemical paintings made on a silver gelatin coated substrate. By manipulating exposure to light along with the controlled application of developing and fixing agents the chemicals within the emulsion shift in color and tone. What is amazing about this process is that unlike traditional painting there is no application of color, but rather the creation of color by manipulating elemental energy states. Read Less
