Illustration I did for a restaurant menu in Cape Town called Catharina's. The restaurant is named after a legendary and controversial South African settler Catharina Ras. The illustration depicts the wild environment of the times of the early settlers around 1700. Often compared to Annie Oakley from the Wild West. She reportedly grabbed a rifle, leaped on her horse and gave chase finally shooting the lion herself responsible for her husbands death.
