Poster proposal for Cultural Harbor Festival 2013, Copenhagen. Cultural Harbor Festival is an annual cultural summer event in Copenhagen.

 

1: The typography is built around the rope. It is a reference to ports where ships are being docked with ropes - in this case it is the culture that is being docked. 

2: The background is based on a image of rough sea. This is a reference to the water in the port. The rough movements symbolize the progress and energy there is at the Cultural Harbor Festival. More than that the background images can change with images of different cultural happenings that take place during the festival; for instance dance, sport and music. 

3: The color chosen for the posters are artificial colors. This is a contrast to the manual feel of the background images. More than that it underlines the diversity of cultural events taking place during the festival.
