This is the story of how two sculptors turned slabs of limestone into two majestic stone bears.
Commissioned for the renovated Peabody Opera House in St. Louis, MO, the two bears were
modeled after the original sculptures that have resided at the main entrance since 1934.
The sculpture project was overseen by 3Dimensional designer Hector Caiazza and master sculptors,
Chris Cassimatis and Jeff Metz over the summer of 2011.
Currently, the bears live at the secondary entrance of the Peabody Opera House for the public to enjoy.
