The Bread & Roses Film Festival was organised over the period of 3 months and spread across various locations around London, with screenings at the Studiostrike headquarters in Clapham and the Ritzy Picture House in Brixton. This was probably the most exciting project to work on so far. The festival required a huge amount of collateral print matter to be designed in a uniform manner, to accompany the identity, posters and online presence. After researching the ideas behind the festival and its purpose to celebrate workers rights and striking culture, I decided to use risograph printing for all the printed matter, which tied in perfectly with the theme. Risograph printers and duplicators were the printer of choice during world famous strikes in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Read Less
