Brief: D&AD Michelin Create a unique product for MICHELIN that would provide real life assistance to high risk motorists in a roadside emergency situation. Description: Being seen at the roadside is one of the most important things to remember when broken down at the roadside, especially in adverse weather conditions or at night. Ensuring motorists and their vehicles are visible in these circumstances is crucial. The BootVIS aims to solve this problem. It allows vehicles to be seen by using a selection of highly visible and reflective materials. These features are combined with four LED light strips ensuring the vehicle remains visible at the roadside. Stored in the boot of the vehicle, the BootVIS can be deployed in seconds by detaching the Velcro straps, unrolling and attaching a single hook to the boot lid or latch. When positioned, a chevron pattern is displayed, similar to that found on the rear of emergency and breakdown assistance vehicles. At night the LED light strip can be activated. Four different segments on the light strip mean that any number of combinations can be used to warn other road users, either by flashing, remaining solid, or turned off. The BootVIS is easy to use and can be installed in almost every sort of car, allowing for motorists to have ultimate visibility in the event of a breakdown. Read Less
