  • Chuck Palahninuk Book Covers
Relations to the book's subject matter
  • These are my book covers and inside matter for one book.  I choose three books by Chuck Palahniuk, Choke, Survivor, and Diary.  The formats of the book covers are 8.5 x 24 inches. For all of the book covers I choose materials that represented the books and put them in a still life and take photos of them.  The flaps of Choke I used a vector of a fork and continued it on the back flap, also on the back of the book cover.  The flaps for Survivor I used an airplane and continued it on the back flap, also on the back of the book cover.  Finally for Diary I used a vector of a pill bottle and continued on the back flap, also on the back of the book cover.
  • This page is the first page for my inside matter.  I choose the grey from the cover to continue it to the inside of the book.
  • This is the second page of my inside matter.  It is a photo of a full pill bottle that is on the cover of the book cover.
  • This is the third page of the inside matter.  It shows a vector of the pill bottle used in the inside matter and the book cover and it relates to the color of the type that describes the publishing company and their address.
  • This is the fourth page of the inside matter.  I choose a photo of an empty pill to show the audience to represent how the pill bottle was full and is now empty.
  • This is the fifth page of the inside matter.  I choose a painting of an abundant amount of pills taken by the woman in the book and to relate to the rest of the inside matter and book cover.
  • This is the six page of the inside matter.  I used a background of old paper to represent that this book was written in a diary format.  I used different types of pills to represent the months the diary was written.  Also the format of the pill, month and page number is to represent a spreadsheet of what pills to take during each month.
  • This is the seventh page of the inside matter.  I choose a painting of an abundant amount of pills taken by the woman in the book and to relate to the rest of the inside matter and book cover.
  • This is the eighth page of the inside matter.  The chapter is represented by a month and date.  The pill is an indicator for which month the book in on.
